Cousin Diana, Thanks alot about the tip for John H. Bruner on family search. I have tried that site, but to no avail. There were several other Johns but not my John H. or any others that met his approximate birth year. The strange thing is that some of those people and Bruner families who do come out of Hawkins and Green Counties, TN do end up in Harrison and Floyd Counties, IN. And of course, my Bruners/Averys then went to Effingham County, IL and then for the most part disappear. I really wish I could make a solid connection to John H., but so far, its only speculation. I sincerely appreciate you keeping an eye out for me on this issue, and hope that between you and some of the other Avery/Bruner descendants I've cc'd here, maybe someday we'll solve this mystery.
