Good morning "REPKINGRON":Thank you for your kind response to my queary.My wife Cindy, and we truly just recently determined the following fact,is related through the continuing female side of her mother to the oiginal Uptmoor immigrant.However she only had info going back to the Hatke family in Effingham Cty.The more amazing coincidence is that I Peter P.Meyer who emigrated to this Great country in1957 came from the County Vechta and had visited Lohne as a young lad a few times,but I certainly never knew about these two towns significant connection.The Uptmoor family is still a prominent member of Lohne.We already had planned tovisit Germany next year and now will definately make a stop in Lohne and neighborhood.Peter P.
