Teutopolis may seem like a long way from Moccasin, but they always carried a lot of obituaries. The Beecher City Journal goes back a long way, also, and wasn't far from Moccasin. I believe both of these papers are on microfilm. Yes, Marian, Both of these papers are on microfilm and may be viewed at Helen Matthes Library in Effingham. The "Beecher City Journal" begins with May 1915 and the "Teutopolis Press" starts with April 1898.
