Can someone tell me which newspaper would be the most likely to yield an obituary for someone who died in Effingham County in May 1904 [probably in or near Moccasin as that is where he is buried] ? Would it have been the Daily News back then or is that a more recent paper? Thanks, Larry Dickerson
"Effingham Democrat", "Effingham Republican", "Altamont News" all cover that period of time, but there are not a lot of obituaries in those older papers. Yes, the Effingham Daily News is more recent, beginning in 1947. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Laurence E.
