I just wanted to email this correction/addition to my January 2004 posting regarding Starla's query about the Meurlotts. I'd mentioned the Opal Meurlott in question was daughter of Samuel J. Meurlott and that Samuel was brother to Edward Meurlott. That's still correct. But I had said Edward married Clara May Ryder and that Clara was daughter of Eliza Jane (Parks) Ryder. (Eliza being first cousin to my ancestor John Henry Loy.) However, after more census research, I discovered though Clara M. (don't know maiden name) was Edward's wife, my relative Mabel Blanche ("May") Ryder was married to Edward's BROTHER Emile. I'd still be "shirt-tail" (in-law) related to Samuel J. Meurlott, but wanted to post this correction should anyone have used info from my previous post for their family records.
