I've spent the entire day changing/deleting bad email addresses for both this mailing list and the IL GenWeb page. Needless to say, this is very time consuming. I have the following suggestion.. Use an email address that will last. How many addresses have you had in the past year, 2 years, 5 years? Chances are that others cannot reach you because your email address has changed, perhaps several times. Sign up for a free account and then use that address for all genealogy correspondence and then don't change it!!! Keep it!!! Don't rely on the good nature of web page administrators or mailing list administrators to change your records each time you change email addresses. It may mean one email for you, but hours of searching and editing for the web page administrator or mailing list administrator to accommodate just "your" request. In addition, when corresponding with other researchers, be sure to exchange permanent mailing addresses and/or phone numbers in case either of your e-mail addresses change. This will ensure that you will still have a way to contact each other. Linda Mailing List Administrator Effingham County GenWeb Volunteer
