    3. The IL Secretary of State's Office has a wonderful collection of databases. Here is the URL to get there. If it doesn't work, in Search type in Illinois death database. http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/archives/databases.html Good luck! Barb Galt, CA -----Original Message----- From: Merle Southern [mailto:mjsouth@rollanet.org] Sent: Monday, May 16, 2005 7:49 PM To: ILEFFING-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [ILEFFING-L] Samuel Southern Samuel Southern was shown in the 1870 Effingham Co, IL census with his wife Susan, sons Thomas and Alpherd, and daughter Mary. The family moved to Jasper Co, MO, prior to 1875. However, Samuel did not arrive in MO. It is thought that Samuel may have died sometime during the period 1870 and 1875. It is known that Effingham Co had a major cholera epidemic in 1872-1873 and IL had enfluenza in 1873. Are there death records available for Effingham Co for the time periods shown? ==== ILEFFING Mailing List ==== If you want to subscribe to this list or unsubscribe from it, send e-mail to ILEFFING-L-request@rootsweb.com or (for the digest list) ILEFFING-D-request@rootsweb.com and put the word subscribe or unsubscribe in the message body.
