Hio all, I have been driving myself crazy trying to find my grandfather. He was not a good man or father but he was a relation. He deserted my grandmother and their two children, so I have very little information on him. His name is Harry S. Davis. His mother's name was Ann or Anna. My grandmother has passed away so I cannot ask for it any more questions. The only story she ever told was the one about her mother-in-law changing my mother's middle name to hers without telling anybody. That is the only reason I know her first thing. Both my mother and my uncle were born in Decatur Illinois but I cannot find any marriage information for my grandparents in Illinois. My grandmother remarried in 1935. My mother tells me that she could not find Harry S. Davis so she started procedures to having declared legally dead, at which time she was told he already was dead. Below is information that I do have on at the family. I have found reference to an Edward Davis, wife Anna B., with two children when being a Harry S. and ancestral file on MyTrees.com.
