    2. Hello listers! I just wrote to the Circuit Court in Effingham Co for assistance with a guardianship query, and they were very helpful. While not being able to take the time to look around for what I wanted specifically (which was anything to do with the guardianship issues of my fourth-g-uncle's grandchilden) they did advise me to contact some independent researchers for more detail. I want to do so, but before I entrusted my desire to hire one of the recommended researchers to snail mail (which means the inevitable two week lagtime...ewww) I'd see if either one of these ladies subscribe to this list! So if either Arnetia Osbourn or Claudia Cole subscribe and would be willing to do some research for me on a to-hire basis, please email me privately. I'd like to talk! Thanks all! 3. This came off another mail list that I'm on..........thought some of our people would be interested. Linda I am researching LOY/PUCKETT/FILES and am interested in hearing from anyone who is doing likewise or has some information. I went to the Barnhill Cemetery and Frame Cemetery and took some pictures of many tombstones. I also just went to Effingham, IL, and saw many Loy tombstones in a cemetery south of town. If anyone has an interest in any of this, please post (or e-mail me at [email protected]). Thanks! Sandy Culp

These are from the IL State Archives and they are free. You can request records on 2 deaths and need to wait until you receive them to request any more. It usually takes at least 3 weeks and often 8-12 weeks. Include the persons name, date of death and place of death. For deaths in counties with small populations or surnames that aren't so common you will probably receive it even if you don't have exact information (year of death will be close enough. Often if they don't find a person that matches what you send, they will send you a list of persons on the death index with that surname. The regional archives have death records 1877-1915 for some counties but it doesn't look like they have the early ones for Wayne Co.s. ==== ILWAYNE Mailing List ==== Any questions/problems regarding the Wayne County, Illinois list, contact the listowner, Dianna Williams mailto:[email protected] Visit the Wayne County, Illinois Genealogy web site at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilwayne/ --------------8ABBBFE2F516666568F623D2--
