Hello; I can't help you with the Illinois research too much but I'm researching the Ground-Grounds family. They and they Greathouse families seemed to migrate together. They were both living in the Smiths Grove or Three Forks, Ky area, near Bowling Green, Ky. There is a family graveyard in that area. Then when we were at Samsville, Ill. there were Greathouse and Grounds in the same cemetery. Some of the Grounds family moved to Kansas, Chautuaqua County, and guess what there is Greathouse descendants here also. I have never found where any of them ever married but it seems they were close friends or neighbors.
