I recently subscribed to this Edwards County Mailing List (this morning). I am researching the MICHELS and WOODS families. I am also interested in the names CHENOWETH, KNODEL, and SILVER. Is there anyone else researching these names? George, Moses, & John MICHELS came from Maine to Ill. in abt. 1817 along with their sister Permelia MICHELS BROWN SHEPHERD. William, John, and George WOODS were all born abt. 1800 in England and came to Edwards Co. sometime before 1850. Please write back if these names are familiar. Thanks. Beth BSmith7439@aol.com
