Hi, According to my father my great grandmother Ella Hall Carlyle was quite involved in the Women's Christian Temperance Union. As she lived most of her adult life in Edwards Co., I was wondering what info there might be about the movement and its efforts in that area, say from 1915 to 1940. Also, her husband, J.C. Carlyle (James Charles) was apparently mayor of Albion for a few years around 1917 or so. How can I confirm that information, or find out anything about his term, if he was.
