I am seeking any information on the family of Moses and Rachel FORD THOMPSON; came to Edwards Co. about 1818 from TN, originally from Mecklenburg Co.,NC. Moses was born @1775, married Rachel in 1795 in NC; Moses died in Edwards Co. in 1841; have identified the following 3 children (but believe there were others): 1) Moses L. THOMPSON b.1808 TN; married 3x 1) 1827 to Elvira CARSON-had 7 children with her; 2) Susannah ELY in 1847-had 4 children with her; 3) Mary @1866-had 1 son with her; known children of Moses L. Thompson: William R. b.@1832 Henry F. b.@1835 James b.@1836 Jackson b.@1838 Melvina b.@1849 Elizabeth b.@1852 Franklin P. b.@1854 John W. b.@1858 Harry b.@1867 Moses L. Thompson died 1873; 2) Martha Jennings Thompson b.1817 TN, Married Aaron Adamson in Edwards Co. in 1835-had 7 children; married Joseph Hedrick in 1852-had 5 children; Martha died in 1901; was my gggrandmother; 3) Margaret Thompson b.1825, married John Michels in 1843; Would love to share information with others researching this family.
