Hello listers, I am looking for information on the Greathouse family in Edwards Co. My gggrandmother was Nancy Jane Greathouse (b.1820's), the daughter of Isaac Greathouse, the son of Enoch Greathouse. Any of these names sound familiar? I also have a plat map of the Shelby, Salem, Bone gap area from around 1850. Anyone need a lookup of the old farms ect. I will try to find them. Dick Byford e-mail: byford@fidalgo.net

Happy Thanksgiving holidays to everyone. I just picked up my messages from another digest and found this list of databases that have been offered free for the next few days. Usually there is a charge for these searches so this is a good opportunity for us to see what Ancestry.com is all about. I don't know a lot about the organization, but have used some of the free searches and thought others might be interested. Good searching!! The last I heard, her husband had Alzheimer's and she had her hands full taking care of him. I also know that she mentioned in a letter to Lois Goodson that someone had submitted a lot of erroneous information to Ancestral File. She was very disgusted with that fact. Terry Harper
Paul, I don't know the person who submitted the articles, but I am a descendant of Jefferson Kelley, son of Henry Kelley and Jane Catherine Hunt (sister of Jefferson Hunt). There is a lot of info in the LDS ancestral files (Jefferson became a prominent Mormon) and I have quite a bit also. There's also quite a bit of false info available. I'm in a rush right now but would be interested in communicating with you. Does anyone know how I can find out the name and/or address of the person who submitted the articles on John Hunt, James Hunt, and Jefferson Hunt in the History of Edwards County, Vol. One, 1980? I am especially interested in learning the source of the photograph of Jefferson Hunt. He bears such a striking resemblance to my late father-in-law, Clyde Christopher Hunt. I just wonder if other family photos have survived. Would like to correspond with anyone related to/familiar with this Hunt family.
