    2. In a message dated 99-01-06 23:04:48 EST, you write: << There are some Cowling's (Benjamin, Edward, John, Sarah) and a Thomas Kellett in Edwards Co, in the 1860 Census Index. Are these the individuals you seek? >> This would be either immigrant Thomas Kellett, b. 1803, or son Thomas Kellet, b. about 1834. I have a John Cowlings as brother-in-law of immigrant Thomas.

    2. Wanda, Thanks for the information, and if there is any more I would love that too. This John J. Lumm has me confused, though. There are a bunch of Lumms in Edwards, Wayne and White Co., most are related at this point. Now John is new to me, but he is more than likely connected is just figuring out which one. Thanks again. 3. Hello; I can't help you with the Illinois research too much but I'm researching the Ground-Grounds family. They and they Greathouse families seemed to migrate together. They were both living in the Smiths Grove or Three Forks, Ky area, near Bowling Green, Ky. There is a family graveyard in that area. Then when we were at Samsville, Ill. there were Greathouse and Grounds in the same cemetery. Some of the Grounds family moved to Kansas, Chautuaqua County, and guess what there is Greathouse descendants here also. I have never found where any of them ever married but it seems they were close friends or neighbors. Thought you might be interested in checking out the Kentucky area/ Vera Miller ---------- > From: Richard Byford <byford@fidalgo.net> > To: ILEDWARD-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [ILEDWARD-L] Greathouse reasearch > Date: Friday, January 01, 1999 4:19 PM > > Hello listers, > > I am looking for information on the Greathouse family in Edwards Co. 3. Dick, Could you see if you can find a farm for a Fuqua family around Bone Gap? I'm getting conflicting evidence on an ancestor, Alice Mary (FUQUA) CROOKS, supposedly born Sept. 1959 in Edwards County, IL. I can document the Crooks family in the area but can't find Alice Mary Fuqua's parents. Thanks for your help.
