Looking for anyone with information on Lemuel or Elijah Harris. From the Edgar co marriage records: Josephine Harris b. 1864 in Edgar Co m. Wm Shaffter in 1883. Her parents were recorded as Lemuel Harris and Sarah Hiddle. George Harris b. 1857 in Edgar Co Brouilettes Creek m. Elizabeth Carl in 1880. His parents were recorded as Elijah C. Harris and Sarah A. Hiddle. William Gore obtained his license. (Wm Gore was married to Susan Gilreath, a sister of Mary Ann Gilreath Harris, wife of Andrew Harris) Were Lemuel and Elijah brothers? Was Sarah Hiddle the widow of one and married the brother? I have reason to believe that one or both of these men may have been sons of Dabney Harris of Lawrence Co IN.
