I saw the posts on Hattie McDaniel. Does anyone know if she is related to Nancy McDaniel who was married to Dabney Harris? They lived in Lawrence Co IN from about 1830 to abt 1850. Then Dabney must have died. Nancy was on the 1860 in Martin Co IN living with her daughter and had a grandson(?) living with her who was born in IL - his name was George Harris. On 21 Nov 1880, George married Elizabeth Anna Carl in Edgar Co IL. WILLIAM GORE obtained the license for them. The marriage record shows that George's parents were ELIJAH C. HARRIS & SARAH A. HIDDLE. I feel that Elijah Harris could have been a son of Dabney and Nancy. If anyone has any information please contact me. Cathea Curry LaGGato@aol.com
