SSDI data (Soc. Sec. Death Index), Census data, State of Illinois death and marriage indices, and a number of other resources are all available from the internet. I therefore consider these readily available. You don't have to leave your computer. (Though you may have to be signed up with an appropriate genealogical service.) On the other hand, the inscription on the gravestone that I sent is not (as far as I know) on the internet, nor is the obituary, nor is the funeral card. These items are non-readily available. You would have to find a repository for the obituary and the funeral card, you would have to visit the cemetery to get the inscription. These items are non-readily available. I have no dates for the children of Ferdinand and Allena other than birth date ranges that I have calculated from census data. For example: From the official 1910 Census enumeration date (15 Apr 1910) and his age (15), Charles Cline's birth date range is calculated as 16 Apr 1894 - 15 Apr 1895. From the official 1930 Census enumeration date (1 Apr 1930) and her age (31), Rena Cline VanSant's birth date range is calculated as 2 Apr 1898 - 1 Apr 1899. From the official 1920 Census enumeration date (1 Jan 1920) and her age (20), her birth date range is calculated as 2 Jan 1899 - 1 Jan 1900. From the 1920 Census data, the probable birth year is 1899. From the official 1910 Census enumeration date (15 Apr 1910) and her age (7), her birth date range is calculated as 16 Apr 1902 - 15 Apr 1903. The latter range is in complete disagreement with the other two ranges. Since there are two ranges in agreement, I can say that her birth year is probably 1899, but one must keep in mind that this is questionable. etc. If you would like the remaining calculations and other such items, drop me an email and I will respond. That way I don't tie up this public site with items of little interest to others (or items that can be obtained by others). You may be interested. Russell T. Tapscott (also given in some places as Russell Francis Tapscott), grandson of Mary Cline just passed away on Saturday (someone was nice enough to notify me today). His obituary is available on the Paris Beacon Website: http://www.parisbeacon.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=1364&Itemid=60 His wife, Patricia Ann Flowers, died a little over a year ago, on 26 Jan 2004. Her obituary is still on the Danville Commercial News archiv site at http://www.commercial-news.com/articles/obits/article/10747.html Do you have a date for the marriage of Mary Cline and Davis Freeman?
