(he may have not been born with the last name Smith) He was born Oct. 1870 in Indiana, I believe, and died in Paris May 9, 1944. He was married to a Minnie HURST/HURSH and had 3 children and was divorced and as far as I know he never remarried. I believe that most of his adult life was in Edgar Co. My mother, Charlie's grandaughter, was born in 1924 and she did not no much or had even seen much of him while he was alive. This seems odd to me. Having a very hard time finding info on him. Any info, I would be grateful. Thank you, Lori
