Il. in 1824. He fought in the Revolutionary War from Maryland, and his daughter Mary Benson was born in Accomack Co. Va. Mary Benson married Frank Horsley. I am trying to locate proof that Mary is the daughter of this James Benson. James's son John Benson worked for Mary's father-in-law Henderson Horsley.
