Here is something that is on the Adair Co, MO list that I believe is pertinent to the Edgar Co, IL list. This may help SIZEMORE RESEARCHERS in Edgar Co, IL; I enclose it for that purpose. Claudia, I am thrilled to see COX CEMETERY (Adair Co, MO) ONLINE---BLESS YOU AND ALL WHO TRANSCRIBED THIS GREAT PROJECT. THANK YOU, THANK YOU. My great, great Grandmother, ELIZABETH VEST SIZEMORE, is buried there. To know that she is the 2nd person to have been buried there is a fact that I did not have before. That will now go into her notes on my program. THANK YOU FOR THAT TOO. I believe, but do not know, that the farm from which said Cemetery was originally granted was a part of the farm once owned by CALVIN SIZEMORE. I am so excited to have this online, that I am writing off the top of my head, but I will be back to you with other info re my SIZEMORES. CALVIN WAS A BROTHER TO MY GRANDFATHER, AUSTIN J. SIZEMORE. EIZABETH was his grandmother--she lived next door to CALVIN IN 1860 census with her son, JOSHUA SIZEMORE. I believe the Cox Cemetery was once called SIZEMORE CEMETERY. Probably because of fact it was once part of SIZEMORE FARM. That is probably why she was buried there. SUSAN A. SIZEMORE, wife of CALVIN, maiden name was BRADSHAW. Capps was her 2nd married name. After CALVIN died, she m W. A. G. Capps. Calvin died on Jan 8, 1894. When and where Joshua Sizemore died or is buried I do not know . JOHN SIZEMORE, SR is believed to have died in Edgar Co, IL prior to 1860; he was with ELIZABETH IN Edgar Co, IL, in the 1850 census with sons MARTIN, JOHN JR AND JOSHUA. I am still trying to discover JOHN SR's date & place death and burial. WILLIAM, wife NANCY and family were already in Adair Co, MO in 1850; Elizabeth and Joshua followed them before 1860 census to Adair Co. Is it possible to indicate in the online record that SUSAN'S , wife of CALVIN, maiden name was BRADSHAW?? That may help future researchers find her parents and siblings. When I first started doing G research, the name Capps on her tombstone confused and misdirected me & other family researchers that I know about. Elizabeth's tombstone is down and broken in three places. I am trying to preserve what is left and get it reinstalled in cement, with a new bronze plaque containing vital info. I SHALL PREVAIL EVENTUALLY. I TRUST THAT THE ABOVE INFO WILL HELP SIZEMORE DESCENDANTS of Elizabeth & John Sizemore Sr. Can anyone in Edgar County, IL tell me WHEN & WHERE JOHN SIZEMORE SR DIED AND IS BURIED. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME. RAY IN MAGALIA, CA. At 10:41 PM 8/27/00 -0600, you wrote: The following cemeteries are on our Adair Site Thanks to Michele.
