I have a number of Nuckles in my data base and FEEL your Albert fits some where. All spellings and others such as Nuchols come from one immigrant James Nuccol in Blisland Parish (later New Kent Co) Virginia in 1676. I am particularly interested in identifying your folks in Illinois. I have several Nuckles in Missouri and feel that they connect to your people in Edgar Co. No fast and easy proof, just a migration path from Virginia, with a change of spelling in West Virginia to Nuckles.
