I found your posting and wondered if your Sophia Jared was related to my ancestor, Marshall Jared, who also resided in Edgar County, Illinois. Marshall was born in 1819 (I believe in Ky?), lived in Edgar County,Ill. a while and then migrated to Taylor County, Iowa. His son, John L. Jared, was born in Edgar County, Ill.
