Vermillion Co., IN Newport Hoosier State Wednesday, May 20, 1936 page 1 Former Dana Woman Dies Funeral Services to be Held Today for Mrs. Effie King at Dana Mrs. EFFIE G. KING, wife of Earl D. King, died at 10:15 Monday night at her home in Indianapolis. She underwent an operation 9 weeks ago. Funeral services will be held at the Farley Funeral Home in Indianapolis. The funeral party will arrive in Dana at the Baptist Church at 1:30 where services will be held. Burial will be in the Bono Cemetery. R.H. Kersey will assist Mr. Farley. Mrs. King was the daughter of Andrew and Susan Bailey and was born in Brocton, IL, 56 years ago. She was a resident of Dana until 8 years ago, when she moved to Indianapolis. She is survived by the following children, Mrs. Mex Tomey, Ray, Russell, and Burley of Dana; Roy of California; and Donald, U.S.N.; 3 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. John Dawson of Cayuga, and 2 brothers, Burley of Brocton, and Francis of Sheldan, IL. ___________________________________________________ (Posted to share with others.
