She was born June 28, 1931, in Paris to Lawrence Hood and Mary Smith Hood. Her husband, Jack T. Gale, died April 21, 1997. Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Haddix; one sister, Alta Beabout; and 2 grandchildren. Services are 2 p.m. CST Thursday in Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home. Burial is in Memorial Gardens.
