Hello, My grandmother died after giving birth to my father who was born October 17, 1921 in Chrisman, Edgar County Illinois per birth certificate in my hand. Other records on file in Edgar County show widow (my grandfather) remarried by 1923, so I know my grandmother did die. Other records in court state she died in childbirth. My dilemma: ILLINOIS HAS NO RECORD OF HER DEATH! If mother perhaps became ill after giving birth, and went to hospital.... Could someone please tell me where the closest hospitals would be. I am thinking perhaps she went to one in Indiana closely. Any help is appreciated as I am at a brick wall. Anne
