My ancestress is Mary Benson B. 14 Aug 1817 - Accomack Co. Va. D 02 Dec 1889 - Edgar Co. Il. Married 19 June 1837 to Frank Horsley I have read where her father fought in the Revolutionary War in Maryland as a Sailor, But due to the age, I would believe it was her Grandfather who fought in the Rev. War. I have her parents as James Benson and Euphenia Stout. Can anyone provide information on this Revolutionary War Ancestor? What was the grandfathers name?
