    1. ggrandmother Louisa Jane Fultz or Foltz Lindsey
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Lindsey, Fultz, Baker, Flake Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/lg.2ADE/1129 Message Board Post: I recently learned that my ggrandmother Jane Lindsey's name may be Louisa Jane Lindsey. There is a Louisa Jane Lindsey buried in the Franklin Cemetery, in Edgar Co. who may be her, but there are no dates of birth or death. Her son Bruce who died in 1993 is buried there so there is a good possibility that it is her. She was born around 1842 in IN. and lived in Metcalf Il. for many years. I was told she died in 1900, but have no proof. I have been searching for her for years, and would appreciate any information about her.

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: JOHNSON, TUCKER, TEFFT, BATTERSHELL, SCHWAB Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/lg.2ADE/1127 Message Board Post: I am looking for information on Horace C. Johnson, b. 30 June 1822 in Oneida, Madison County, New York. He came to Edgar County in 1837 with his parents and siblings. Horace married Mary Etta Tucker, b. 29 November 1828 in Bourbon County, Kentucky. Does anyone have any further information on his family? Horace and Mary Etta are my great-great grandparents thru their daughter, Clara Jane Johnson. She married my great-grandfather, Charles Grant Martin. They had four daughters, Irene, Helen, Velma and Audrey Evadna Martin(my grandmother). Velma died when she was very young of heart failure. Clara also died when the girls were very young. I believe she had a weak heart also. Audrey Martin married Frank Charles Schwab in Ray, Colorado about 1924. They lived in the Pawnee City, Nebraska area for several years, then moving to Humboldt, Nebraska. They raised 8 children, the oldest boy being my father. As of now, 7 of the 8 are still living. My father is the only one to have passed away as yet. Sometime in the early 1940's, the Schwab family moved to Syracuse, Nebraska, where Frank and Audrey lived the rest of their lives. I do know that Newberry Johnson and Sylvia Tefft are Horace's parents and that Kelly R. Tucker and Susannah Battershell are Mary's parents. There's not much on his side on the internet. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Marie Schwab-Sellers maries64@msn.com

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/lg.2ADE/1114.1.1 Message Board Post: In our emails, one thing I forgot to ask you is if you think anyone has records of the burials (if James M. Cook is buried there, he would be one of the unreadables or under ground.) I'm planning on contacting the Embarrass Cemetery to see if they have records. I'm just so sure he must be buried in either of these cemeteries unless he really was in the CW and those records just don't tie in. According to the date of death I have, my grandfather was born 3 months later in that same area.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/lg.2ADE/1114.1 Message Board Post: I have been in direct contact with Mrs. Krell, but thought I should post here just in case anyone else is interested. I know the location of the defunct Catfish cemetery and have been through it several times while restoring my 3rd great-grandparent's (Henderson and Elizabeth Cook) and a great granduncle's (Charles T. Kees) gravestones. This is an extremely difficult cemetery to find. One must drive over private property and the cemetery is well hidden from the road. I estimate that 50 - 70% of all markers there are beneath ground. Of the markers above ground, probably only 20%, at most, are readable on the surface (perhaps some cleaning or restoration could salvage a few). Fortunately the Embarrass Township still mows the grass. Anyone wishing detailed directions is welcomed to email me. All I ask in return is that anyone running across a Kees or Cook in this cemetery or anywhere in the area please let me know.
