T. Bryan, Artist, Young America, Illinois," circa 1860s-1870s. My family lived in St. Louis, and I have no information on an Illinois connection. I've looked through internet information on Edgar County and Young America and have found nothing to help ID or connect. Do you have any suggestions to help me identify? Anything about the photographer? Thanks for your help.

I am doing research on my Great grandparents Alonzo Columbus Vale and Mary Ellen Cain. I had some research done in Edgar County and may be able to provide some information. Mary Ellen Cain was born to John Cain and Elizabeth Bryan in 1846 in Virginia. Her siblings were as follows: Penelope (born 1845), James (1850), Charles (1852)all in Faquier County Virginia. William (1857), Sarah (1859), Harriett (1862), Susan (1865), Martha Emaline (1869), Elizabeth (1874) born in Edgar, Ilinois. If any of these names ring a bell please let me know. I am trying to find out where Alonzo Vale took the family when they left Edgar County in the late 1800's. The trail seems to end there. Please respond to my primary address of mevale@apk.net Thanks, Mike Vale Akron, Ohio __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - 250MB free storage. Do more. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/lg.2ADE/1156 Message Board Post: I am interested in corresponding with descendants of Joseph Conover and his wife Abba Fulton Conover who married around 1901 in Edgar Co. They had 6 children; Samuel b. in 1903; Eleanor in 1906(married name Good); Margaret in 1908 (married name Baarson); William in 1910; Carl Joseph in 1913; Robert E. in 1915. I am connected to Joseph Conover by way of his maternal grandmother, Rhoda Hunt Ellis, originally from Gloucester Co. New Jersey and later moved to Tippecanoe Co. Indiana in the 1840's with her husband Charles Ellis. Joseph's mother Eleanor was born in Indiana. Rhoda Hunt is the older sister of my great-grandfather Chalkley Hunt who later went by William C. B. Hunt. Another descendant of this Hunt family has passed along some old family photos and some of them come from Tippecanoe Co. from the 1860's; one of them is labeled the Ellis brothers. We would like to share any information we have on the Hunt and Ellis families. Mary Mamalakis Santa Barbara. Ca.
