Omer McDaniel who married Belle Grisham on December 26, 1900, in Edgar county, Illinois. I have their marriage License. They had one daughter Elsie Ruth who died at close to 27 years of age, of nephritis, so her kidneys must have failed. Bruce McDaniel died young at 49 years old , but I don't know why. Surnames: McDaniel, Wilson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/lg.2ADE/640.1 Message Board Post: Another sister of Hattie McDaniel was Viola McDaniel. Viola was born in September 1871 in Illinois, the daughter of J. H. and Catherine McDaniel. J. H. McDaniel was born circa 1840 in North Carolina according to the 1880 Federal Census of Symmes Township in Edgar County, Illinois. Viola McDaniel married Robert Benjamin Wilson of Douglas Township, Clark County, Illinois. Robert B. Wilson was the son of Hiram J. Wilson and Rachel (Wilson) Wilson. Robert and Viola moved to North Dakota some time between 1905 and 1908, first living in Sharlow Township, Stutsman County, North Dakota (1910 census), and then in Sarnia Township, Nelson County, North Dakota (1920 census and 1930 census). It is presumed that Robert and Viola died in North Dakota. Robert and Viola had six children: Gertrude, Ester Marie, Leo E., Sadie, William B., and John. Viola's siblings were Hattie, Ira, Bruce, and Susan E. Another brother may have been Homer McDaniel, who is listed with the family as a son in the 1880 census. Contact me if you would like information on Viola. Regards, Steve Shook Moscow, Idaho

Nance (b abt 1810 in VA) and Margaret Cammarrar (b abt 1815 in PA or OH) who were married in Edgar Co. IL on Oct. 30 or 31, 1834. There are many variations of the spelling of the name Cammarrar found in the marriage records of Edgar Co (see subject line). Several marriages were performed in Edgar Co. by a J. Camerer, J.P. The Edward H. Nance family is found on the US Censuses in 1840 in Clinton Co. IL; 1850 in Edgar Co. IL; and 1860 in Lavaca Co. TX. Edward Nance registered to vote in Dallas Co. in 1867. He does not appear on the 1870 Census. Margaret, however, is back in Lavaca Co. TX in 1870 and McLennan Co. TX in 1880. She appears as late as 1891 in the Waco City Directory (McLennan Co.
