I've "rescued" an old photograph of Rena HUNT which was taken at the Chas. E. Jay Studio in Paris, Illinois. The photograph was likely taken in the 1880's and notes that Rena is 2 years old at the time. In addition to her name and age someone has also written "Mother" on the back of the photograph. I'm hoping to locate someone from this HUNT Family so that the photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

I've been to Edgar county and looked at the birth records with no luck finding Floyd Smith there. I'm beginning to suspect that Floyd may have been born with a different surname, and then taken the name Smith when Margaret and Thomas married. I'm also suspicious that while Thomas died young, Floyd lived to be 80, while 2 brothers and two sisters died in their 30's or 40's, and none of the others made it to 70.

Isgrigg was born 3/3/1830 and died 3/27/1911. They had 11 children. I have the Isgrigg's back to 1680, but Adams to Timothy Walcott Adams, born 6/6/1779 in Simsbury, Hartford, Connecticut and died 1850 in Clark County, Illinois. Married Mindwell Barnes, born 1779 in Connecticut. My husband is related to the Adams: Effie Cynthia Ann Adams, daughter of Timothy Randall and Isgrigg is my husbands gggrandfather. Effie married Michael Gillern, who had a son named Maurice, who was my husband's father. Can we share more information? I have over 400 people in my Family Tree geneology. I also have a photo album of pictures from way back when. I know one of the pictures is Neva (Adams) Baldwin when she was 7 months! old and one of Marvin Dow Adams at age 3 months. Also have a calling card with Neva Baldwins name on it. Most of these people are probably Adams, but there is no ID on any others. Let me know if you want to share other information. Jeanne

Interesting since my first attempts to search for husband's maternal grandparents' earlier families has drawn a blank. Don't have immediate access to my info but remember grandfather was Edward Obert Cantrell and grandmother was Martha Pribble. They lived in "El Dorado" Illinois during a period prior to 1918 and operated the "town" cafe there. We have a photo of the inside of the old restaurant. Our branch moved to Colorado Springs from there. Is it possible Martha was related to your Pribbles?
