    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Cline, Freeman, Tapscott, Redmon, Powell Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/lg.2ADE/1177.1.1.1 Message Board Post: You asked about non-readily available information. SSDI data (Soc. Sec. Death Index), Census data, State of Illinois death and marriage indices, and a number of other resources are all available from the internet. I therefore consider these readily available. You don't have to leave your computer. (Though you may have to be signed up with an appropriate genealogical service.) On the other hand, the inscription on the gravestone that I sent is not (as far as I know) on the internet, nor is the obituary, nor is the funeral card. These items are non-readily available. You would have to find a repository for the obituary and the funeral card, you would have to visit the cemetery to get the inscription. These items are non-readily available. I have no dates for the children of Ferdinand and Allena other than birth date ranges that I have calculated from census data. For example: From the official 1910 Census enumeration date (15 Apr 1910) and his age (15), Charles Cline's birth date range is calculated as 16 Apr 1894 - 15 Apr 1895. From the official 1930 Census enumeration date (1 Apr 1930) and her age (31), Rena Cline VanSant's birth date range is calculated as 2 Apr 1898 - 1 Apr 1899. From the official 1920 Census enumeration date (1 Jan 1920) and her age (20), her birth date range is calculated as 2 Jan 1899 - 1 Jan 1900. From the 1920 Census data, the probable birth year is 1899. From the official 1910 Census enumeration date (15 Apr 1910) and her age (7), her birth date range is calculated as 16 Apr 1902 - 15 Apr 1903. The latter range is in complete disagreement with the other two ranges. Since there are two ranges in agreement, I can say that her birth year is probably 1899, but one must keep in mind that this is questionable. etc. If you would like the remaining calculations and other such items, drop me an email and I will respond. That way I don't tie up this public site with items of little interest to others (or items that can be obtained by others). You may be interested. Russell T. Tapscott (also given in some places as Russell Francis Tapscott), grandson of Mary Cline just passed away on Saturday (someone was nice enough to notify me today). His obituary is available on the Paris Beacon Website: http://www.parisbeacon.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=1364&Itemid=60 His wife, Patricia Ann Flowers, died a little over a year ago, on 26 Jan 2004. Her obituary is still on the Danville Commercial News archiv site at http://www.commercial-news.com/articles/obits/article/10747.html Do you have a date for the marriage of Mary Cline and Davis Freeman?

Surnames: Stewart, Henthorn, Hanks, Wiles Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/lg.2ADE/1176 Message Board Post: I have been researching a David Stewart found in Young America on the 1870 census living w/ sons Perry and Peter (Peter I believe is my g grandfather). Cannot find David on any later census, either in Ill or Ind. This David may be the David Stewart who married Martha Wiles 1841 in Fayette County, Ind. The 1850 census ( Rush County, Ind.) shows David and Martha w/ Marion, David R. and Keziah. On the 1860 census the family is listed as David and his children Marion, Perry, Casiah and Peter in Simms, Edgar, Illinois. No Martha. By 1870 David, Perry and Peter are living in Young America. I believe David Stewart's parents may be David Stewart/Stuart (War of 1812) who married Keziah Taylor in 1814 in Greene County, Ohio, according to the pension papers Keziah filed. The senior David Stewart died in Fayette County, Ind. in 1833. I would like to find any info on David Stewart (bn abt 1820 Ohio) - death info, cemetary, wills, etc.- found in Edgar County and/or info on his children to help verify my family connection. If I am right, Peter of this family is my g granddad and married Sarah Henthorn, 1871 in Paris. Illinois Marriage Index shows Keziah Stewart (sister to Peter?) married William W. Hanks. I have info to share and compare. Thanks! Jean Blaney drblaney@aol.com

    1. Mary A Fox Grass d 1898
    2. Nena Smothers
    3. I am trying to locate the possible gravesite and cemetery where Mary Ann 'Polly' Fox Grass might be buried. Fr her husband's pension file he states she died May 2 1898 we believe in Edgar co ILL. I am not privy to the cemeteries in that area. [I am in WA state] Does anyone have access to cemeteries in that area that could ck a cem listing or book to see if anyone with that name might be listed, if so I sure would appreciate it. Its possible she might just be listed as Fox, we can not confirm their marriage of Dec 1865 but its stated also in husband's pension file they were md then, we can not find a marr rec. We did find them on 1870 and 1880 census with several children, they had 6 in all and they moved around fr Edgar co ILL [some kids born in paris, some were around Vermillion] then they went over to clay, greene and areas of such in Indiana..vigo also. Husband died in Vigo. On 1880 shes listed as Maria. thanks for any assistance, Nena

Their known children are Daniel, Caleb, Joshua, Penelope, Susannah and a son named Casper that must have died young. I believe that Winnie Williams that married Joshua Bartlett is probably also their daughter by a lot of circumstantial evidence but nothing to prove it. For sure Edward Williams and Jemima had a daughter named Susannah, she is named in a deed and was still unmarried by 1804, so she could be the Susannah Williams that married Charles Kirby in 1805, but I have still found nothing to prove it or disprove it. Susannah Williams Kirby was named in the will of John Pope Williams, husband of Elizabeth Kirby (sister of Charles Kirby). I have seen where some researchers claim that John Pope Williams had a sister named Susan, but she was born in 1777 and was married to someone other than Charles Kirby. Since John Pope Williams was born in 1774, he was probably not the father of Susan! nah, born in 1788. I am pretty sure that this John Pope Williams was the son of a Charles Williams and grandson of a George Williams.
