Is there someone out there who could look up the obituaries of my 2nd Great Grandparents, James and Susannah Randolph? James was a long time resident of Edgar County, Illinois, from at least 1855. He died December 29, 1918, in Clark County. Susannah died sometime between 1910 and 1918, also in Clark County. Susannah's death certificate could not be found. James was listed as a widow on his death certificate. Looking for any info on Margaret Anderson Piper who died 1893 supposedly in Edgar County. She was there in 1860 along with her four children and her mother. The children were John William 17, Alexander A. 16 (I've also seen this as Alfred Allen), Anna Rebecca 14, and Jacob Thomas 8. The mother was Rebecca Stout Anderson 83. Margaret and all the children were born in VA; Rebecca was born in NJ. I'm guessing that Rebecca also died in Edgar County but I have no data. In the 1860 census this family is listed as Pipper. They are living next door to the William Shank family. Elizabeth Anderson Shank was Margaret's sister. Any help would be appreciated. Larry Copley [email protected]

I have one page of a document titled Vol. #1, Cemetery Records, Clark County Illinois. This apparently was obtained from the Clark Co. Genealogical Society in Marshall. The page I have lists Barbee through Bennett for Richwoods Cemetery. Paul --- Robert L Webb <[email protected]> wrote: > Thank you kindly for this information. I will make a note to check on this for you next week when I get back to my office where my database is. The Concord Church which our friend mentioned, dates back to 1831, and the cemetery there is large, and the church had 100 members throughout the 19th century, but the 20th century has been hard on a lot of country churches. The Providence Church I mentioned dates back to 1840. I do have some old records of the Wabash District Association which was organized in 1809. The churches in Edgar Co. were part of that association of Baptists. The minutes of the association give us quite a few names of members of the different churches of which we can't find records, so we are not totally without information. I will also try to remember to check on my Missouri database. Adair Co., Mo., is about 100 miles from where I live. I too am interested in getting a list of CEMETERIES IN EDGAR CO, ILLINOIS, WITH THE NAMES OF BURIALS. I have a Great Uncle, MARTIN SIZEMORE, and many others of his descendants, that I expect are buried in the cemetery that he is buried in. I would like to find them, identify them, get pictures of their tombstones, or know if they have a grave marker. For the information of all who are interested, I have recently had the grave marker placed by the family on the grave of ELIZABETH VEST, wife of JOHN SIZEMORE, SR, who probably died sometime prior to 1860, placed in a cement base. The old gravemarker was down, broken in three places and buried in the ground on or near her grave, at Cox Cemetery, Adair Co, MO. A cousin in Iowa made a trip to Cox Cem recently; she found the grave and marker. She dug it up, placed it flat on the grave. I was concerned that it would suffer further damage, so in order to preserve what remained of the original stone, I had it preserved in a new cement base by The Unionville Granite Works, Unionville, MO last Sept, 2000. I plan to add a bronze marker placed on her grave to read as follows: ELIZABETH VEST, wife of JOHN SIZEMORE SR, b 1779, died March 14, 1866. I would prefer to add the day and month of her birth to the year 1779, but so far have been unable to determine those facts. I am settling on 1779 as the year of her birth based on the 1850 & 1860 census records. In 1850 census ELIZABETH is with John Sr in Edgar Co, IL where her age is shown as 71; in 1860 she is with her son Joshua, HH, Adair Co, MO, where her age is shown as 81---both are consistent. I also conclude that both ages were probably given from the lips of Elizabeth, since she was 71 & 81, respectively, and was most likely the person at home who gave that info to the Census Taker/Recorder. I AM OPEN TO BE CORRECTED AND EDIFIED. If any descendants in Edgar Co, ILLINOIS care to educate me re her date of birth please do so. Also, please CAN ANYONE HELP ME LOCATE the burial sites of JOHN SIZEMORE, SR, or MARTIN SIZEMORE, his son, a long time resident and distinquished citizen of Edgar Co, ILLINOIS. Lastly, I would love to locate living SIZEMORE KIN in ILLINOIS, descendants of JOHN AND MARTIN. I am the son of ROXIE LENA SIZEMORE, who was the daughter, of AUSTIN J. SIZEMORE, who was the son of WILLIAM SIZEMORE, who was the brother of MARTIN SIZEMORE-----both WILLIAM SIZEMORE & MARTIN SIZEMORE were the sons of the marriage of JOHN SIZEMORE SR & ELIZABETH VEST SIZEMORE. I look forward to a connection with a SIZEMORE descendant, in ILLINOIS, of the above described SIZEMORES. Ray F. Snider, Jr, in Magalia, CA. My great grandmother, Mary E. BINKLEY, went to live with her daughter Blanche BINKLEY (Sides) in the later years of her life. In the early 1940's they lived in Paris, IL. Mary BINKLEY died in 1947, but Blanche lived some years later. Would like to contact anyone with any possible info on her. Mary's death certificate says that their house was on Connelly Street, Paris, IL. There was also a brother of Blanche, John BINKLEY, who may have lived there for some time also. Thanks, Regina
Thank you kindly for this information. Does anyone know whether this cemetery has been read and the burials published or available, that we could obtain a copy? I suspect that Elder Pinnell may have been associated with the Pleasant Hill Christian Church. The Pinnells are thick on the ground in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery as I recall. The Pinnell's were kinfolk of the Nay family among others. Elza Nay was married to Elendor Pinnell. Jessie, Calif
