Posted on: Edgar Co., IL Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Il/Edgar/517 Surname: Barbour, Clark ------------------------- I think that Elizabeth Ann Barbour is a sister to my great grandfather Daniel Barbour. Eliza and her family are listed in two of my Barber genealogy books. Her husband is James Clark. They are in the 1850 Census in Edgar Co., Ill. Walter is not listed because he hasn't been born yet. Walter is in the genealogy books, where it also has her husband's name as James. If we are on the right track here I can help you with Barbours. I was just yesterday entering some information into my program about the family. My grandmother fed me stories when I was young and impressionable. She was quite proud of her considerable heritage but in a quiet way. Here is the family as it is in the newer of the two books. Eliza Ann, b 25 Sept 1816; d 19 Aug 1884 Married 25 Jun 1835 to James Clark Children of Eliza and James: Mary Clark, b 29 Sept 1836 married John Long Elizabeth 24 Feb 1838 married A. P. Helton Albert 24 Sep 1839; died 24 Feb 1848 Daniel 10 Mar 1842; died 10 Feb 1860 Grisella 23 Oct 1849; died 4 Aug 1850 Charles 23 Oct 1849; married Elizabeth Francis. Walter twin, b 28 Sept 1851 married Mary Suanger. I'd be happy to share what I know about Barbour ancestors. I know nothing furthur about Eliza Ann's family, however. Judy
