I have a photo of my gg-grandfather's brother, a Willison and a woman named Anna Haskin. The photo was probably taken in either Edgar or Clark Co., around 1900. She married Gurnie Elmer Lanham from Vermilion Illinois born 1898. The child named Elmer Eugene Lanham was born Oct 17, 1921 in Chrisman, Edgar County Illinois. Artie May Hurst (only 16 years old at time she gave birth) may have died after this, as child raised by relatives or another family named Willards from Indiana. Gurnie Elmer Lanham went on to marry soon after, and had many more children, however, first child never returned to this family. If any Hurst can place ARtie May born 1905 with a family that migrated from to Kentucky to Edgar County at this time, will welcome the information. More records are being sought currently through Illinois and Indiana.

Foltz 1-18-1883 in Edgar Co., Illinois by R. G. Brengle (M.G.) They were married at Laura's fathers house. Joseph B:3-17-1845 in Rockingham Co., Va. D: 4-25-1930 Edgar Co., Illinois. Both Joseph and Laura are buried in Little Grove Cem. I believe that Nancy Jane Bledsoe parents may be Larkin and Julia Board,but I have not comfirmed it as of yet. Do you know if this true or who her parents are. I have alot of information on the Foltz's line, However I still need to search to find the children of Laura and Joseph. Hello, Have made several posts without any response from board concerning Elmer Eugene Lanham born 1921 said child of Unknown Lanham and Artie Hurst. Pleased to report Ill birth certificate #59957 confirms the above born Oct 17, 1921 in Chrisman, Edgar County Illinois, named Elmer Eugene Lanham was the child of Gurnie Elmer Lanham b. 1898 in Vermillion County Ill and Artie Hurst b 1901 in Ky. September 9, 1963 Elmer Eugene Lanham changed his name to Samuel Lawrence Willard, Jr per Marion County Indiana Circuit Court entered October 9, 1963. This is the same Gurnie Elmer Lanham b. 1898 that married Stella Maria Grubb b. 1900 about 1922-1924 and went on to have another family. For whatever reason, first wife Artie Hurst died, or something, and it was told in family son was either put up for adoption or raised by a related family member. Benjamin Richard Fuqua was the son of Dr Obadiah Woodson and Margaret (Peggy)(Wilson) Fuqua. Obadian Woodson Fuqua was born 10 June 1798 in Pittsylvania Co, VA and died 30 Aug 1873 in Edgar Co, IL. Margaret Wilson was born 18 Aug 1798 in Harrison Co, KY and died 6 Oct 1874. Both are buried in Pisgah Cemetery in Vigo Co, IN. The childen I show for Benjamin Richard and Nancy Jane (Bledsoe) Fuqua are: Josephine 1857, Sarah abt 1860, Laura Victoria abt 1860, Charles B 1862 and George D 1874. Anyone researching the HENSON name in Edgar Co, IL in the early to late 1800's? I am looking for a Jesse HENSON, with a daughter named Mary Elizabeth born abt. 1862 in Herrin, IL. When Mary died in 1947, she was living in Edgar Co. with her daughter, Blanche BINKLEY/SIDES. I have tried to figure out why they ended up in Edgar Co, IL, when Mary and her husband, John BINKLEY, from Wright Co., MO, raised all 8 of their children in NE Arkansas. I have been trying to trace the HENSON family, and thought that perhaps Edgar Co was a good place to look.
