    1. [ILDUPAGE] More recent history (1960's)
    2. We lived on George Street in Bensenville when I was about 5 (1965). When I was about 7 we moved to Wood Dale - Forest Preserve Drive. I am wondering if anyone on this list who is still in the area can help me. Right before we turned to go to our house on George Street there was I think a bar. There was a sign with 3 pine trees on it. I think it was called "The Three Pines". This place is embedded in my memory and I am wondering if it is still there and what it is called - who the proprietors are. Maybe they might send me a picture of this place or if someone knows where I can get one? Also my dad worked at a place called J B Clow. I don't remember what he did there. Does it still exist and would they have employee records from that time? Ditto for Mars Candy Company. He worked there after Clow. Is that still there? One more thing - I remember an outing to a place. I don't know the name of the place. For some reason it has a military feel to it. There is a long driveway - kind of like a boulevard. Along the sides the shoulders sloped up. Very white gravel was laid there. Here and there in among the gravel were planted little shrubs. At the end of this long driveway was a big white house. The lawn was well kept and very green. I am thinking it was some kind of club house? There is a large garage under the house on one side with room for quite a few vehicles. The ceiling in the parking area was very low. Up the stairs and inside was a small narrow kitchen area which led to a small dining area by a window. It looked like somebody's house but I don't think it was. I was about 5 when we went there. We lived in Bensenville so I am thinking it must be in that area. It's bugging me that I can't remember this place. I want to put all this info in my personal genealogy file along with old school records, military records, etc that I am collecting.
