Hi, My name is Adrianne and I joined the list just in time to see part of a conversation between Page and Cidney about wills and probate information at "the library." I know the Wheaton Library has quite a bit of genealogical information, but didn't know if that was the library being referred to. Could one of you respond to let me know which library? There should be will/probate information at the courthouse, also, but I have not researched there yet. My paternal g-grandfather and g-g-grandfather lived in DuPage Co., the former in Itasca and the other in Addison Twp. (haven't been able to narrow it down further, as yet). Names are Henry Asche and Henry Ahlenstorf (or Albert Henry or Heinrich Albert). H. Ahlenstorf married Henry Asche's daughter, Emma. They had nine children, one of whom was my grandfather - Alex Ahlenstorf. Thanks for any help you can give me on that library.
