My ancestors Silas Thomas Baker and Alice Pye lived in Downers Grove and Alice is buried in the cemetery there. She gave birth to two children, my gg-grandfather, Charles Augustus Baker and his sister Cora Baker (Mrs. Oscar Potter of Cook Co.). But she died in childbirth to a third child. I have a copy of her photo. She was also very beautiful. She died around 1870. Barry Jernigan
