Hi Has anyone in your research come across a accident, fire or desease, that would have wiped out several families some time between 1860--1865 in Addison township, DuPage county. My ggrandfather Charles ( Karl ) NIKLAUS and his brother August, according to census were living with a Rathji family after 1865. Karl was between 6 and 10 years old and August, 1-5 years. Their parents no longer are on the census after 1860. I would much appriciate if you have any information. Thank you Florence
