Clinton Paper 1979 RHODA BURTON Rhoda Elizabeth BURTON, 94, of Dewitt, died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Crestview Nursing Home, Clinton. Funeral Services are incomplete at the Stensel Calvert - Balangee Funeral Home. She was born Aug. 24, 1885 at Kidder, Ky., the daughter if John Buck and Nancy Jane COWAN PHILLIPS. She married Charles Andrew BURTON, Dec. 25, 1902. He died Jan. 26, 1940. Surviving are three sons: Homer and Harold, both of Dewitt, and Herbert of Lexington, KY, one daughter, Mrs. Leo (Dora Lee) Garyer of Exeter, Calf., one brother, William PHILLIPS of Dewitt ; two sisters, Mrs. Nancy OWENS of Farmer City and Mrs. Lona DALTON of Peoria, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by one son, two brothers and six sisters. She was a member if the First Baptist Church in Farmer City.
