Well, I finally did it. The History of all thirteen Townships as told in the "1882 HISTORY OF DeWITT COUNTY " are transcribed and under the "From the Histories" page. WHEW!!!!!!! I hope you will browse through them all. I made the mistake of reading only the ones my ancestors were in and missed several references to them. There is much to learn in these passages. Many pioneer families are named, along with the places they came from. Just remember that there are many errors in relationships and places of origin, so only use this work as a guide. I am still working on getting the biographies transcribed. I hope to have those done soon. So go in and Read, Read, Read.
