I am sure that I am not alone in my thanks and appreciation for your efforts in making this wonderful resource available. There is so much more to genealogy than places, names and dates. Historical details not only add color and interest to our recollections of their lives, they provide clues for us to follow the turn of events, changes of residence, motivating influences, etc. in their lives. They help us to fill in the gaps and read between the lines. Our ancestors' time and place had as much to do with who they were as who their own ancestors were. And so it us with us today. We all owe much to the labor and sacrifices of our ancestors and their neighbors. And inasmuch as you have helped me to better understand and appreciate this, I am sure they would want to add their thanks to mine. Well done. In closing, special thanks for providing "the rest of the story" regarding the bronze plaque north of Clinton recalling the "Lone Elm." I have wondered about this for years, since spotting it on a small boulder alongside one of the county roads. Things like this make my residence seem even more like home. Glen Elam
