Hi Folks..... If I may, let me take a minute or two to thank everyone on the DeWitt County, Illinois list. My personal family tree has grown by many branches since I joined. All I had at first was a few names, fewer dates, and a desire to locate my "lost families". Before long the pieces of the puzzle slowly immerged. I found not only dates and names, but things that let me put "meat on the bones" of my families. Within a few months I was able to locate just about everything on them, or so I thought, and at that time I could have unsubbed and moved on to a different area. But I keep finding new things here, and at the ILGenWeb/DeWitt site, that keep me here. Earliene has been so very instrumental in locating my families. She has gone far beyond what I would have expected from anyone. She has a true desire to help all with their research, digging into records and putting pieces of the puzzle together. She works hard to have one of the best county sites at the USGenWeb Project. I could go on and on, but I don't want to embarrass Earliene. But I do want to thank all of the listers from the DeWitt mailing list. You've all been helpful when I've asked questions, taking time to help and pointing me in the right direction. So, for a wonderful year filled with many new branches on my tree, I thank each and everyone of you. May you each have a new year filled with exciting finds, filled blanks, tumbled walls.
