    1. Lookup - Dagley
    2. Waynesville Centennial Book Sept 5-7, 1975 Page 65 The year 1880 marked the coming of the Dagleys to DeWitt County. Leaving their parents, Daniel and Elizabeth Parker Dagley in TN, the four sons, John, Jarves, Henry and Joseph, made their way to DeWitt County and located in Clinton and Waynesville. James and his family spent the rest of their lifetime in or near Waynesville. His wife was the former Izora Adcock, They were the parents of six children: Isaac, Viola, Earl, Cicil, Raymond and Nellie. All grew up in the country church at Mt Zion and later on in the Methodist Church at Waynesville. They married into the families of the Barrs, the Laugherys, and Wamplers, the Swans and the Crafts, spending most of their lifetime in the Waynesville environment. The name Dagley is not a common name. Many a phone books does not list it at all. If you will look on the membership roll of a Methodist Church, you will no doubt locate it. The Bible tells us "God knows each of us by name!" Most, if not all, the Dagleys knew HIM. To know HIM is to love and serve HIM. This they tried hard to do. Bob Halsey [email protected] Viera, FL
