Clinton Paper - 7-27-1964 Mrs. Toombs dies after a long illness Mrs. Clara Mae Toombs, 82, died at 2L15 p.m. Sunday at the John Warner hospital after an extended illness. She was born Feb. 6, 1882, at Popular Bluff, Mo., the daughter of Frank and Effie BARNES DICKERSON. She married Frank TOOMBS Oct. 28, 1899 in Clinton. He proceeded her in death. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Frances OVERY, Crysal City Mo. , one granddaughter, Mrs. Judy Mae HEINRICH, Reading Pa, A great granddaughter, Julie Diane. Two brothers and a sister proceeded her in death. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton and the Women's Christian Temperance Union. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pullen- Boos Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Casper ALLEN officiating. Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
