Aaron Hill >From "Parker Pathways" by Jane Parker Brown, pages 344, 345: John Green Parker was b. 17 May 1843, Coles County, Illinois, the s. of Jeptha Parker and Sarah Jane Green. He m. 7 Sept. 1864, Westfield, Illinois, Irene Caroline Bennett. Irene was b. 1 Mar, 1849, Westfield, Illinois, the dau. of Harvey Bennett and Elizabeth Clinton. John Green Parker served in the Civil War. John G. and Irene went northwest to South Dakota after the birth of their first child. Some of the children were born in New Mexico, California and finally in Kansas. John G. and Irene were the parents of eight children: Lillian Rosa, b. 1865, Westfield, Illinois, m. James Madison Harrouff. (one daughter, Jessie Pearl, m. Homer T. Shore; Lillian died 7 July 1927. Jessie Pearl and Homer T. Shore had one son, Boyd. Wife's name not know, had one child, Marilyn, m. Donald Gresham and when the book was published in 1986 lived at Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Harvey B., b. 16 Jan 1868, d. 23 Aug. 1894 Lizzie S., b. 1869, South Dakota, m. ?Goddell, she d. 1950 Carrie A., b.1870 in New Mexico or California, m. ? Elliott, d. 1956 Minnie A., b. 1877, m. Ernest F. Jacks; she d. 1911 William P., b. 1884, d. 1961 Bessie C., b. 1887, m. Roy Smith, she d. 1936 Fred Close, b. 1892, m. Mabel S. Horney, d. 1967 John Green Parker d. 27 February 1918; Irene d. 19 Dec. 1923.
