I have connections to this family although they are not direct line.--Cindy Mr. and Mrs. Lindley of Hutsonville Celebrate Their Golden Wedding a Few Days ago at Home Near Hutsonville Both Having Passed the Biblical Allotment of Time Live Happy and Children Succeed in Life One of the most remarkable and most highly honored and esteemed families in Crawford County reside near Hutsonville. We refer to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lindley. There are many reasons why we feel justified in making this assertion. First on account of the prominence of the family and second on account of the highly exemplary life of this aged couple who are natives of Illinois and who have resided all their lives in the same locality where they now have their home. Mr. Lindley is 79 years of age and is a native of Crawford County. Mrs. Lindley is 70 years of age and is a native of Clark County. They were married October, 2nd, 1861, in the parlors of the old Robinson House at Robinson which until the oil boom was the leading hotel of Robinson and was the scene of many a prominent political and social meeting in the years gone by. Now it is being cut up and remodeled and made into different departments for use by restaurants etc. With the oil boom came the Woodworth which today is one of the leading hotels of this part of the state. They were married by Judge Sterritt, who at that time was Judge of Crawford County. In a former issue we gave an account of the golden Wedding which we clipped from the Hutsonville Herald. Suffice it to say then that this anniversary was attended by all the members of the family. This honored couple have been blessed with a remarkable family all of whom are making a mark in the world and are very promiment in the business and social circles of Crawford and Sullivan counties. The members of their family are as follows: Mrs. E. H. Boyd, C. E. Lindley and Mrs. Dr. Vooheis all of Hutsonville and vicinity, Attorney J. W. Lindley, Mrs. Dr. Neff and Dr. S. E. Lindley all of Sullivan, Indiana. In another column will be found a picture and short sketch of Attorney Lindley and Dr. Lindley of Sullivan. Dr. S. E.
