I'm just posting an Obit that was sent to me by Barbara Dix who is transcribing old news articles for the website. Usher Holaday died at his home in Terre Haute Monday, following a four week's illness. He was born near West York Oct. 9, 1865, being aged 45 years 15 days. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holaday, and is survived by one brother, Wm. Holaday and Mrs. Albert Johnson, of West York.  He resided on a farm near that place until fourteen years ago when he removed to Terre Haute. He was never married. The remains were brought to West York and funeral services were conducted Wednesday by Rev. T. C. Bailiff, Interment being made at the Lindley Cemetery.
