First to Betty in regards to Rebecca Reynolds. I am doing some exploring in Henry Co at this time. Give me a week or so to run some names. My husband just had shoulder surgery--and is home for another 6 weeks. WOE IS ME! I know there are a lot of Moore's in the areas you talked about. Maybe I can do some postings on some things. Sue, thanks for looking up ALL those White names. I am trying to find out who George Washington White's parents were---and his date of birth. I know for sure he is buried in Palestine Cemetery. He died 19 APR 1895. I can check the earlier censuses for Crawford County to see if I can find the other George White, supposedly born in NY. The name of Foster separates the two. If I can find which one has the Foster line, then a big brick wall is broken. I think his George Wshington's father, George White, traveled back and forth from Casey Co. KY to Crawford Co. George's siblings are listed as Nathan, Andrew, James, John, Ester/Esther/Hester, Catherine, Polly, Patsy, Eli, Eson/Eason, William, Isabella, and Sally. This was from his will of 1824, March Court, 1824 (Casey Co. KY). Jane was his wife at the time. His will was written January 19, 1824. So, He died sometime after that. I ran George White's for all states for dying in 1824, nothing. The only person with the White name dying in 1824 was William White, 30 MAR 1824. Maybe he was William George White. I did find one George White that looks promising. He married a Eunice Dungans about 1789-1798, My mother's name was Eunice. George Washington White was mom's gr-grandfather. The children in the will hard to find. Every Catherine or others has different parents. All the dates that fit for them as far as birth do not fit the parents. some may be children of other fathers who were living in the White household in 1810,1820 census. It appears all the children were born abt 1800-1810. There were 5 boys and 3 girls in 1810 or 1820. That is a lot of kids to be born in a ten year time span. Eli and Eson may have been twins. Anyhow, thanks for offering to look up in censuses. I am wondering if Andrew born in IL in early 1800 was George's. I think a few other names also show early dates there, but could be another White family. I am narrowing in. Just trying to help George Washington's gr-gr-gr-granddaughter find her family. Thelma is in her mid 80s, and really wants to find them. I have only the info that I spoke of and no further back then the 1810 census. Well, I do have some names I am researching that go back. That is where the Foster name comes in. Thanks again for your help. Shari
