He was a retired Mahutska Oil Company employee and a member of the Highland Avenue Baptist Church. He was born in West York vicinity Jan. 6, 1892, son of the late Ludwill and Minnie Elliott Sanders. He is survived by his wife, Edna; two daughters, Madonna Phillips, Robinson, and Norma Hart, Evansville; three sons, Clifford Sanders, Paris, Leonard Sanders, Flat Rock, and Leon Sanders, Huntington, Ind.; a brother, Walter, Patosi, Mo.; two sisters, Irene Fauts and Velma Foster, both of Ridgefarm; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, 2 p.m. at Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson with Rev. James W. McCoy officiating. Burial followed in the Robinson New Cemetery.
